Spanish guitar manufacturer Francisco Broseta
The name of our guitars was chosen in honour of the founder of our Company, Sr. Francisco Broseta Rogla, maker of fine guitars since the 1950's, even today our guitars still carry his unmistakeable style. The great interest shown by Francisco Broseta from an early age for cabinet making and music, turned him to learning the art of manufacturing guitars at 18 years of age at the renowned house of “Dolores Marin” located at Chirivella by the hand of renowned craftsman Jose Roca with whom during the following 14 years he was introduced to the art and craft of Lutery and the mysteries of the trade.
During his apprenticeship at Dolores Marin he met the woman who would be his future wife, Herminia Monroy who had been working for 14 years at another prestigious guitar makers “Hijos de Vicente Tatay” where she had developed her skills working the art and techniques of varnishing and the finishing touches of the guitars .
The will of Francisco to apply his ideas and his concepts and his techniques, make him take an important step with his wife Herminia, to begin their own factory taking full advantage of the experience they had both acquired. For this reason they moved to the province of Alicante and the town of Gata de Gorgos in 1974, to dedicate themselves to the art of making guitars. Their great effort and hard work soon paid off, acquiring prestige nationally, allowing them to formally establish themselves as a company with the name of Bros Guitars.
Today, their son Paco continue the hard work of their parents, combining their purely inherited craftsmen's tradition, with the advances in technique and technology, obtaining a product of the highest quality, always to the requirements and necessities of our clients.
Our efforts have been worthwhile, nowadays our Company and our guitars have travelled across the borders of this country so fulfilling the dream of its Founders, and also by acquiring prestige at international level being recognised by the Spanish Guitar Master Craftsman's Guild.
Since the beginning, the company has been characterised by its will for innovation through experimentation, giving rise to diverse curiosities during the life of the Company, for example we could point out in 1977 the making, by Francisco Broseta of the only 3 twenty string guitars.
Or even the orders for guitars with 12 strings, six by the superior part of the tuning fork and 6 by the forcebody of the tuning fork
